Character Name— Lee Sin, The Blind Monk
Concept— Lee Sin, The Blind Monk. Found abandoned on the streets he was raised by the Shotuk monks of the Zao Ming Monastic order. When he remained with the order he held a position as the philosophic teacher to the young Lord Kojima. However his desire to see the world beyond that of their new home estranged him from his order. He left to walk the lands of Fomoria returning home to the scent of rotting carcasses all but indistinguishable. He fell to his knees clutching the dead to him running his fingers through the corpses prayer beads he finds a notch in one that he remembers well.

Blind Fighting:
May be used instead of Speed for positioning tests in Fight! If the skill is used in this way,
the character does not suffer the +2 Ob for blindness or the +1 Ob for moving quickly. Blind Fighting may not
be used for Run Screaming positioning.

Bojutsu:
Counts as Staff.

Butsudo:
Counts as Chruch Doctrin. Can be used to keep evil spirit's at bay, Ob = spirit's Will.
If successful, spirit must pass a Steel test or hesitate before the character. Add the margin of success
from the Butsudo test to the hesitation obstacle. To make this test, must be in ritual posture and may not
be holding anything except prayer beads and staff or taking any other actions aside from chanting the sutras.
If anyone takes hostile action against the spirit the spell is broken. Additional obstacles: Common popular
beliefs, Ob 1. Reciting religious passages, Ob2. Funeral rites for the recently deceased, Ob3.

Jujutsu:
Allows use of all Martial Actions except Great Strike and Feint while unarmed.
May use the skill in place of Power for Charges, Locks, and Pushes. May also perform
Counter-Lock and Counter-Push actions. These operate as Counterstrike except for Locks and Pushes.

Blind:
Can't make sight-based checks. Can't take Literacy or Observation. All tests that require vision
(pretty much everything) are at +2 Ob. Increase aptitude for learning craftsman and medicinal skills by 2.
Once learned, do not apply the +2 Ob.

Ear of the Fox:
+1D to Positioning tests in Fight!.

Nose of the Pig:
Smell-based Perception acts as Observation.

Tonsured:
No Affiliations outside monastery. All familial and romantic Relationships count as Forbidden.

Zatoichi:
If engaging in group combat, all opponents must pass a Steel test. Failure indicates hesitation as usual,
also, each one who failed can not assist any of his companions for the duration of the fight.
