Character NameKelphi, The Favourable Misfortune
Concept— When the future Lady Dearly found a small wounded Fae in her garden she patched him up and kept him in a knot of a tree, she took care of him as he lay slumbering taking him with her when she married Martens Dearly. Finding a suitable place in her new garden to keep him safe, when he finally awoke she was on the verge of illness. They spoke for a goodly while, feeling faint she excused herself asking him to keep an eye on her daughters Leyleigh & Bridleigh as they played in the garden while she was gone. She died before returning, ever since then he has kept an eye on Leyleigh & Bridleigh keeping them away from danger where he can. He keeps track of them through the Fae mark both bare. Leyleigh's mark is just to the right of her belly button, while Bridleigh's is on the ridge of her right shoulder-blade. He cannot remember before getting wounded or even how he got wounded and doesn't really care, he got distracted with protecting them from danger playing tricks on kidnappers and villains and such. He was having such a blast he forgot. two tricks he is immensely proud of are using sleepie dust on someone walking down the stairs, and hidey dust on a grape in a wine goblet. One time he even convinced a cat to help foil a kidnapping plot but he will never work with cats ever again they are just to narcissistic.
The Fae Paths:— The Fae paths are similar to the elven tree paths. The Fae use reflective surfaces to travel, the Fae are of-course aware of the tree paths the woodland Fae made them as a gift for the elves. In order to travel through a portal(Reflective Surface.) That portal must first have cast the reflection of the Fae or that of a focus(Foci can be objects or persons that are Fae marked by the Fae, the mark itself must have been reflected so marking the inside of a strong box would protect the Fae's true name but wouldn't be a very good focus as it would almost never be reflected in anything.) in order to be an active navigable path. In order for to use the Fae paths a successful Faerie magic test, the Ob. is increased by 3 for each living being other than the Fae transported, 2 for every object that cannot be worn by the Fae or is not made to be carried, the Ob. is only increased by 1 for a Fae marked being or item. The Ob is determined by the type of portals being used, a hand mirror for instance is far more difficult to pass through than a lake. The size of the portal must be able to accommodate anything taken through. Once through the Portal a will test is required to achieve your destination. Ob. for this is increased by mobile portals like hand mirrors and decreased for high traffic areas such as lakes. If a portal is shattered or disturbed as the Fae attempts to exit then many bad things can happen including be thrown back into the Fae ways where they would have to struggle to regain their will or slowly fade from existence. These bad things can be avoided by a Successful Faerie Magic test. A successful Fae Path-wise test can reduce the difficulty of travel but consequently failure can send you somewhere you had not intended. If a Fae is marked like a focus by another Fae then they can also access a portal where in that Fae is currently reflected. If a portal is Fae Marked then that mark is like a lock to all other Fae it can be overcome by a successful Faerie Magic test the Ob of which it the Portals Ob. plus half the will of the Fae who marked it. Failing to overcome a test can immediately notify the Fae as though the Fae Marked desperately needed them.

Spells or Rituals— Fae Mark (Ob. Double Targets Will|Marks the Target with the true name of the fae who casts the spell the mark is permanent and can only be over ridden by another Fae or removed by the fae who placed the current mark upon them overridden marks are not restored by the removal of the mark. Because it uses the fae's true name it is dangerous to use. Most Fae do not use it unless absolutely necessary.| The Fae knows the location of the target and their current status like a successful aura reading check. The fae must make a Faerie Magic Test in order to get this information however. It can be volunteered by the target if they desperately need the fae. As a side effect any spell cast with the mark as the target, not the object it marks, is in effect cast upon the Fae as soon as they check on the marked item or a connection of any kind is established. In order to read the Fae mark the owner must make a Will test the Ob of which is the Fae's Essence), Sleepie Dust (Ob. Targets Will^|Duration: 1 Hour + an Extra Hour per ^), Pixie Dust, Glitter Dust, Pixie Charm, Faerie Dust, Feather Dust, Sneezie Dust, Hidey Dust (Ob. 3^|Duration Fae's will in hours.|Make something extremely hard to notice. increases the Ob to observe an item to the Fae's will plus ^.)
Traits— [Char] Torn from the Cycle (The Fae is not bound to the cycle of lives, A death is of course final, destroying the very essence of the fae. Half Fae are slowly being torn apart by their Mystic Essence being recreated as they are torn from the cycle memories of past lives they have lived flit through their mind as they are destroyed. Whenever a Fae fails an Essence test they must make a Steal test or or take a wound equivalent to the Ob of the Essence test and a temporary penalty on Essence equal to the degree of failure lasting until they replenish themselves. The may replenish themselves at a rate of 1 Per day in any land maintained for the Fae. All of the Elven swards are maintained in such a way as the Fae taught them this long ago, also the Grove of the masked etharchs and the Fae hills, and other such magical sites. Outside of these area's the Fae replenish at a rate of 1 per month.
