Can someone be very powerful with the Gift and Sorcery and not know they have it? Like stuff just happens around them and they don't know why? If so, how would that be represented by the stats?
Have a lot in Sorcery but no actual spells?
That's a terrific concept. I've seen it in movies and books before. It would probably manifest as some kind of wild talent. Emotional sensitivity, especially pain and trauma might be something that your character has a rough time with. What does everyone else think?
Well, was more a question for the most recent NPC I made. I wanted Sarah to be very mystically attuned, hence Second Sight (with no idea what it means or how it works, but it being a part of her for so long she's come to know what the Aura's mean and has become very good at reading them), Dreamer (which is prophetic/extremely vivid dreams) and the Gifted thing. Just didn't know how I'd make her really powerful with the Gift but with no idea of how to actually control or use it. Seeing as she's a NPC, you could probably just have stuff happen around her without any kind of stat array, but would be nice to know what people think of how the stats would be set up in case someone wanted to make a character like that.
How the hell did you get some many traits?

NPC's do not have to follow the same rules
Your relationship to them must be be paid however
Minor relations have 5 or fewer life paths
significant have between 5 and 10 life paths
and powerful have 10 or more life paths

So, talked to Eva today, she said something about this in the Magic Burner. Basically if you have something like this you have the Gifted Trait and Sorcery but instead of having any specific spells you describe what you want to happen and then the GM decides what the OB is and you roll for it and suffer Tax like normal. But for someone who doesn't know what they are capable of you probably wouldn't be able to just tell the GM what you want to happen whenever you want, you'd do it at times of extreme stress and what not.
I'm reading that one now. It's the best written Burning wheel book yet.

Previous comment, I did not make that statement. I have not read the magic burner. I was out shopping for groceries when this was posted. Who is logged on as Anjuleus? If you are somehow logged on as me, please log off. Thank you.

OK that was me. I have this on so many computers I never look to see who's logged in! Sorry Anj.
I had a feeling I was still logged on at your house from last session. Didn't mean to sound rude, was just concerned. Thank you Brin.
